Winner – Australia Day Book Giveaway

Last week we participated in a giveaway with a difference. The lovely people at Book’d Out and Confessions from Romaholics ran an Australia Day Book Giveaway Blog Hop which, in it’s simplest form, was a group of writers, publishers and booksellers who were offering a free prize for visiting their sites. It was a simple thing to get involved with and the response was amazing. More than 40 unique visitors came and answered what I thought was a pretty simple question: Who is your favourite Australian author?

We had such a wide and varied group of responses. Authors ranging from modern fiction, to children’s literature to self-published romance novels…we had it all.

So, out of all that, I had the pleasure of finding a winner who, of course , was going to win a hardcover copy of Kate Grenville’s excellent book, Sarah Thornhill.
