Art in the bookshop

10426244_710798432300513_3965890201134522850_nOn August 13, A Reader’s Heaven played host to a crowd of local art lovers who joined us in launching  Ludwina Roebuck’s art exhibition, Groovin’. This was the first of our pop-up galleries and it was a huge success.

We are happy to support local artists, like Roebuck. She uses found objects to create stunning creatures you have to see to believe.

More than forty people came out to see and purchase Roebuck’s art. It was a fun night with Sue Graves of Tidy Towns and Anthony Beard of the Lithgow Business Association were in attendance.  Not to mention sheep, an emu, and several other creatures.

It’s not too late to see this great exhibition, come down to A Reader’s Heaven and check out these great pieces.

Jesse Phillips, Anthony Beard (LBA), Matthew Brewster (Lithgow City Council), Paul Phillips (owner, A Reader's Heaven), Ludwina Roebuck (Groovin' Artist), Sue Graves (Tidy Towns) and others gather around the sheep for a photo op.

It was close quarters, but no one complained, the evening was a great success and a lot of fun.
