A Reader’s Heaven has been providing books to Lithgow for over 16 years. The stories that have passed through these doors have been too many to count. You were with us when we changed our name from Pre-Loved Books to A Reader’s Heaven. You were with us when Jo first came from Canada. And you were with us when we decided to get married. Now we’re starting a new chapter, and we want you to be a part of it.

A Reader’s Heaven is moving to a bigger, brighter location on the corner of Mort and Eskbank Street. The new, larger store will be the ideal space to host community events and pop-activities, partnering with Lithgow City Council to promote cultural and economic interests to serve the Lithgow and surrounding community. The larger interior and wall-to-wall window space will allow for displays of local artwork, craftsmanship, and produce, as well as posters promoting community events.

A Reader’s Heaven remains under the existing management and will continue to sell both the new and used books  you love. We will still order in any book you can’t find in store. And we will still offer credit for books in store in exchange for your gently read books. We will continue to sell textbooks required for courses offered by our new local University of Western Sydney’s Lithgow campus. We will still be an active member of Main Street and actively participate in all community events.

The new store will have reading couches and places for you to sit and read or enjoy a coffee. Get a coffee from one of the local cafes and bring it in. So feel free to pick up your copies of The Village Voice and The Blue Mountains’ Echo, and sit down and read them, or enjoy that new book you just discovered.
